GuideMaster EOS plugin installation Bulb
Pleasant surprise GuideMaster the new version of the most intuitive software guide.
Besides the ease of use, the main feature of the software, confirms the presence of the patch for the Italian language, which can also be regarded as superfluous, and the new plugin for the Canon EOS USB. This last feature was a pleasant surprise, because until now I have not found any free software that would manage while driving and acquisition of reflex digicIII.

We come to trial in field tests ... two nights of clouds and fog
plugin installed you will immediately notice the new toolbar submenu Cameratimer and the appearance in General \\ Setup \\ DSLR settings for the new position Eos control Bulb USB enabled that allows control of the camera by GuideMaster.
Below is the dithering box where you can set the radius of the dither automatic pixel (applied to the guide). To the right is the
window of time that you can use to acquire.
If the acquisition time chosen was different, you can add more simply pressing the window add time.
To capture using the submenu on the toolbar CameraTimer that activates the window in which you must enter
1. the number of exposures to be made
2. choose the shutter speed
3. set the interval between laying and the next.
Once you set the options from the beginning to the series of shots Begin Exoposure .
The program being acquired by handling the installation keeps promises bulb and saving images captured on camera's memory card
The strength is not his strong point, GuideMaster it crashed several times during the evening, the rest is a beta version so some minor inconvenience is tolerated.
I found some bugs :
1) If the camera goes into standby mode the program does not recognize, a problem shared by other software from canon.
2) You can not access the setup (General setup) when the telescope is connected, even change the parameters of the dslr, otherwise the program stops.
3) The program crashes if the screen saver is activated and, if there is no off standby.
conclusion priority is the order in which various operations are performed at the end of the first night I called this lineup that did not give me problems:
1) Composition of the picture, focus and choice of the exposure time through the canon software
2) Open GuideMaster
3) setting in the setup window of the camera control via USB, the shutter speed, the radius of the dithering, rescue.
4) Open the menu CameraTimer
5) setting the rest of the setup parameters of the program, save it.
6) Preparing guidance and calibration
7) Setting the parameters of the window cameratimer.

And here's the last shot .. the summer evening had started badly, a lot of moisture had moved my interest in this subject and then to the stellar mass very scenic.
The recovery started at 1: 30 and ended at 3:15 and I set the recovery on the histogram of the early evening, then the time has gradually improved together with the wane of the moon, darkening the sky background and bringing the ' histogram to the left. In phase I
processing then saved only 15 poses to the exclusion of many, even slightly moves, most all shooting in the first part of the evening.

Where Does Sinusititus Come From
M33, NGC 598
August 30, 2009
Pietrabbondante
The end of the holiday is approaching and it was really good last night for shooting, moisture, light wind.
The subject is the constellation
galaxy M33: Triangulum
Size: 68.7 'x 41.6 '
Magnitude: 5.70
Surface Brightness: 14.20
very beautiful object: a galaxy brazenly showing its spirals.
Along the arms, there are several nebulae, which are highlighted in the second half .. but no sign of a lack of sensitivity to red, but of inexperience in processing.
The shot was made from 1: 00 to 3:30 with
800IS Canon EOS 1000D focus on the
80ed sw sw HEQ5 led with 130 and spc900nc GuideMaster
focus occhiometrica
21 x 390 / 2 light frame (sum)
for a total of 10 dark
2h 15min (median)
flat 9 (median)
preprocessing and stacking process with PS
with Iris Iris and NeatImage
two different versions even in color balance, to more questionable for both.
The first report was made to extract as many details in the central area but did not lead to saturated star or galaxy, the second highlights maggiormante arms but saturates the core and the stars.
raw
Unfortunately the trial version of Neat Image can only save JPG, the use of the program has cleaned up the bottom, but worse on the subject.
E 'have a gradient on the bottom that IRIS was unable to delete.

With the choice of this nebula I wanted to test the sensitivity in the red machine Eos1000D not changed. The subject
the nebula IC1318 is a portion of the large emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus. The nebula itself is crossed by a dark nebula LDN899 . The presence of Sadr is a perspective effect.
The choice of frame is not the best and loses part of the nebula.
